A few Saturdays ago, Gracie and I had so much fun! I took Gracie out to play when I decided to rake the yard for a leaf pile for Gracie to jump in. As a little sibling typically does, she wanted to do what her older sibling was doing and rake leaves as well. She walked over and picked up the little red rake and started helping me.
We have a few bigger trees in our front yard so I decided to wheel the wheelbarrow around to gather up the leaves and transport them to the back yard where the leaf pile was. We raked the leaves in the front yard and loaded them in the wheelbarrow and headed for the back yard. As you can imagine, Gracie wanted to help with the wheelbarrow as well. As I took the wheelbarrow handles Gracie got behind me and grabbed the handles behind my hands.
Once we got to the back yard Gracie knew exactly what to do and helped me dump out the leaves. When we were ready with the pile I told Gracie to jump in. She grabbed a hand full of leaves and threw them up in the air laughing and saying, “Weeeeeeee!” It was the cutest thing! I could not resist so I jumped in the pile and we started throwing leaves at each other. We piled the leaves on top of one another and made leaf angels while Gracie and I laughed hysterically.

In one of my previous posts I listed my “Top 10 Fall Ideas” to do with your sibling. Raking leaves for a pile to jump and play in was one of them. This idea is not only fun for you and your sibling, but for the whole family as well. Take it from a big sister who had wonderful afternoon playing with her little sister!
