My little sister Gracie does not like ice cream. What is up with that? I thought every child on this green planet loves ice cream. Well, not her. I think she would enjoy a jalapeno whole before she would take one bite of ice cream.
Last week Gracie had a sinus infection and her doctor prescribed her some medicine. Well as you can imagine she would not take her medicine because it smelled something awful. I am sure it probably tasted just as bad as it smelled. My mom decided that only way Gracie would take her medicine aside from strapping her down and force feeding it to her was to hide it in her food. So off to the grocery store my dad went to buy Gracie not just any ice cream but the good stuff. Breyer’s Ice Cream! My dad hit the jackpot and the grocery store had a special sale of buy one ice cream and get the second free. When my dad got home with two different kinds of ice cream I thought I had died and gone to ice cream heaven. It was a happy day at my home for everyone except for Gracie. Mom fixed Gracie a bowl of ice cream and mixed her medicine in it. Gracie put it in her mouth and you would have thought she had eaten a sour lemon. Gracie’s face puckered up and she spit it out. OK we thought. She must know her medicine is in there. Wrong! The next day we gave her a small bowl of ice cream without the medicine and once again she puckered up and spit it out.
We have tried this with her a few more times and she gives the same response. Oh well, as far as I am concerned she can go on disliking ice cream for all I care because it leaves more for me!!!
