My cousins love me to death! They have even given me a nickname, Moose (not to be mistaken by another Adoption Blog writer, The Moose). There are three cousins that near live me. They are Jack, Meleah, and Nathan.
Jack who is 4 years old is the oldest of the “babies” in our family and we have always had a special bond because he was my first cousin born that lives near me. He tells me all about his soccer team, and his trains, and what he has been doing with his little sister, Meleah.
Meleah who is 3 years old is your typical girlie-girl. She loves to play dress up and put on make up. She loves me so much and I love her too. When our families get together she runs up to me yelling, “Mooooooooooooose!,” and leaps into my arms and wants me to stay by her side for the rest of the night.
Nathan who is 3 years old is such a sweetie. He comes over and loves to play, not with the toys, but with pots, pans, remotes, and anything else he can get his hands on. He loves hugs and kisses and Moose!

Before we adopted Gracie all my cousins wanted to do was to be with me. They would say, “Let’s go to Moose’s house,” or “I want to play with Moose.” Shortly after we adopted Grace my cousins would say that they were now going to “GRACIE’S” house to play with “GRACIE.” At first it bugged me but then I realized that they still loved Moose. They love Gracie as well but are closer in age to her then I am to them. Jack and I still have a special bond, Meleah still clings on to me, and Nathan still gives me the sweetest hugs. A year later they now say that they are going to Moose AND Gracie’s house to play with Moose AND Gracie.
We are one big happy family. They may be the babies but do not think that I don’t go play soccer with Jack, play dress up with Meleah, and play pot and pan drums with Nathan. I guess I am one of the little ones at times and that is all right with me.
