Christmas Tree

In my room I have a tree about three and a half feet tall. I look forward to decorating my tree each Christmas. I love to personalize my Christmas tree to reflect my personality. Here are some more suggestions
on how you and your sibling may want to personalize your own tree.

Bring Your Own Ornament Christmas Tree: My church did this tree at a get together and it ended up being really cool. Each person was asked to bring their favorite ornament and as we all would arrive at the party we would then hang our ornament on the tree that was only decorated with lights. It was really neat to see all the great ornaments people brought. At the end of the party each person took off the ornament they brought and the tree was bare once again.

Pet Tree: I saw this one at our local pet store and thought it was really cute. The store had pictures of their employee’s pets and glued them on to various ornaments. They also took pet toys and hung them up as decorations. They made ornaments out of doggy treats by attaching a red ribbon in a loop to the back of the treat and then hung them on the branches. I would not suggest this tree if you have a pet that may try to take off the toys or try to eat the treats. As you can imagine this might be dangerous. If you have a fat and fuzzy (and I might add lazy) feline like my cat Buster then there should not be a problem.

Old Fashioned Tree: Cut out several paper snowflakes and hang them on the tree. String together popcorn or cranberries. Make a paper chain to use as more garland. Make some angels by buying some lace doilies for the angel’s body, wooden beads for the head and pipe cleaners for the halo. Fold the doily in half and glue the wooden bead in the center of the fold. Make a halo out of the pipe cleaner and glue it to the head. Tie thread to the halo for the ornament hanger. Decorate the angel however you want. Bake and decorate gingerbread men to hang on the tree or make gingerbread men out of brown construction paper. This tree would not be complete unless you decorate to the sounds of Old Fashioned Christmas music and the scent of mulling spice cider in the air.
