Listed below is the second part of the top 10 funny things my little sister does. Enjoy reading once again.
5) Who needs a golden retriever when you have Gracie the retriever. Every morning before mom takes me to school Grace will run out in the driveway to where the newspaper is and will “retrieve” the paper for us. It could be raining buckets or be snowing ten feet deep this does not stop her. The best part is no doggy treats are needed for this trick!
4) Gracie likes to mooch food from each of us. My bag of barbeque potato... more

Listed below is part one of the top 10 funny things my little sister does. Enjoy!
10) Gracie loves to take baths especially with bubbles. She is big enough that we can leave her alone to play in the tub as long as we are close enough to hear her splashing around. On occasion Gracie will sneak out of the bathtub, jump onto my parent’s bed and crawl under their covers…sopping wet. Gracie thinks this is very funny!
9) We have to watch Gracie because she loves to eat our fat and fuzzy feline’s treats when no one is looking.... more

Last night I decided to go to bed early because I had been up late the past two nights studying for a history and science test. After I went to bed my mother turned on a DVD of Curious George for Gracie to watch so my mom could take a shower. My dad was downstairs listening out for Gracie. As Gracie was watching her movie I believe Curious George and his shenanigans leaped from the portable DVD player and on to Gracie.
My mother has a pretty silk throw pillow she has on my parent’s bed that has a hole in the seam. My... more

A few Saturdays ago, Gracie and I had so much fun! I took Gracie out to play when I decided to rake the yard for a leaf pile for Gracie to jump in. As a little sibling typically does, she wanted to do what her older sibling was doing and rake leaves as well. She walked over and picked up the little red rake and started helping me. We have a few bigger trees in our front yard so I decided to wheel the wheelbarrow around to gather up the leaves and transport them to the back yard where the leaf pile was. We raked the leaves in the... more

This is my final Christmas tree suggestions blog. I hope you and your family might be inspired to try something a little different this year. I know Gracie and I will be starting some of our own “siblings” traditions this year. Enjoy and happy memory making!!!
Princess or Dress-up Tree: Okay, as a girl, I have to do one for us females. You can use play jewelry to hang as ornaments. Place some princess shoes in between the branches. You could also place some little stuffed animals or Barbie’s dressed up in their princess outfits. You... more

In my room I have a tree about three and a half feet tall. I look forward to decorating my tree each Christmas. I love to personalize my Christmas tree to reflect my personality. Here are some more suggestions on how you and your sibling may want to personalize your own tree.
Bring Your Own Ornament Christmas Tree: My church did this tree at a get together and it ended up being really cool. Each person was asked to bring their favorite ornament and as we all would arrive at the party we would then hang our ornament on the tree that... more

In my last blog I gave a couple of suggestions for Christmas tree ideas that you and your family might use to try something different this year. These ideas are great to get the family involved in a holiday family project and even to start a new family tradition together. Many ideas listed are also great for a smaller tree you might display in a special place in your home or in a child’s room. I have a shorter tree that I have decorated with my own flair and it is standing in my room. Read on for more suggestions. Angel Tree: Angels.... more

Christmas time is here again and it is time to put up that tree! But what kind of tree should you and your family put in your living room? Or better yet, a smaller tree you and your siblings might decorate and display in a special place. Over the next few blogs I hope to give you a few ideas that might inspire you to try something different or even spark a new family tradition.
A Family Tree: You know how family trees go with the history of your family of generations past leading all the way up to you and your siblings. Well this tree... more

Gracie is really into having tea parties with my mom, dad and me. For Gracie’s second birthday my Aunt Kirey gave her a ceramic tea set. On each little teacup it has a ladybug and on each plate it has the saying, “Ladybug, Ladybug, Fly Away Home.” My Aunt Kirey found this set and just had to get it for Gracie because ladybugs are a sign of good fortune in the Chinese adoption community.
Gracie will open the plastic bag where we store the pieces so they do not get lost and dump them out on the living room carpet. When we see her do... more

My cousins love me to death! They have even given me a nickname, Moose (not to be mistaken by another Adoption Blog writer, The Moose). There are three cousins that near live me. They are Jack, Meleah, and Nathan.
Jack who is 4 years old is the oldest of the “babies” in our family and we have always had a special bond because he was my first cousin born that lives near me. He tells me all about his soccer team, and his trains, and what he has been doing with his little sister, Meleah.
